The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest ocean on Earth, covering roughly 168 million km² (65 million sq mi)—more than 46% of the world’s ocean area. It stretches from the Arctic Ocean in the north to the Southern Ocean in the south, bounded by Asia and Australia to the west and the Americas to the east.
