Celebrity Ascent Trans-Atlantic Cruise (April 19 – May 4, 2026)

The Celebrity Ascent is a massive, modern feat of maritime engineering, measuring 1,073 feet in length and 128 feet wide, with a total volume of 141,420 gross tons. Designed with a draft of 27 feet, the vessel utilizes advanced ABB Azipod propulsion systems to cruise efficiently at 22 knots. Structurally, the ship spans 17 decks, 15 of which are completely accessible to passengers, and features the fleet’s signature “Magic Carpet”—a tennis-court-sized cantilevered platform that floats dynamically along the starboard side of the hull.

In terms of capacity, the ship accommodates 3,260 guests at standard double occupancy, scaling up to a maximum of 3,937 passengers when third and fourth berths are fully utilized. To maintain an upscale, high-end service standard, the vessel sails with a dedicated international crew of 1,416 members, establishing an impressive passenger-to-crew ratio of roughly 2.3:1. Because of its massive physical footprint relative to its guest count, the ship achieves a space ratio of 43.3, ensuring the public spaces feel uncrowded and open.

Across the ship’s 10 dedicated stateroom decks, there are 1,646 total guest cabins.

In 2026, my dad and I did a 14 Day Trans-Atlantic cruise on this ship! The itinerary left from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Rome, Italy with stops in Bermuda, The Azores, Cartagena and Barcelona and it passed through the Straight of Gibraltar.
